508665
Multiquip 508665 Coupler VR36H - OEM Replacement Part for Ride-On Rollers

The Coupler VR36H is a critical connection component in the hydraulic drive system of Multiquip ride-on tandem drum rollers. This coupler transmits power from the engine to the hydraulic system that controls the roller's drum vibration and propulsion, operating under continuous load during compaction operations. In rollers like the AR13D series, which feature a Briggs & Stratton DM850D diesel engine rated at 23.6 hp at 3,600 rpm and a hydrostatic drive system, the coupler must withstand significant rotational forces while maintaining precise alignment between engine output and hydraulic pump input.

When this coupler fails or wears beyond specification, operators may experience loss of vibration, reduced hydraulic pressure to the drum motors, or complete loss of drive function. Regular inspection during routine hydraulic system maintenance is essential, particularly when servicing the hydraulic manifold or replacing hydraulic fluid (ISO 46 anti-wear hydraulic fluid). Given the operating weight of these machines (3,360 lbs operating weight, up to 3,437 lbs with drum ballast) and their high-vibration environment during compaction work, the coupler experiences considerable stress during asphalt and granular soil applications.

This coupler is compatible with the following Multiquip roller models:

AR13D

AR13H

AR13HA

AR13HA/AR13HAR

AR14H

Genuine Multiquip OEM part, sold by an authorized dealer.
