Correct belt deflection is 6 to 10 mm (1\/4 to 3\/8 inch), measured at the midpoint between the clutch pulley and the exciter pulley.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTo replace the belt, remove the belt guard and the four hex nuts holding the pulley halves together. Remove the outer pulley half, slip the old belt off, and install the new belt before reassembling the pulley halves. Tension is adjusted by adding or removing spacers between the pulley halves. Fewer spacers increase belt tightness. Three spacers with a new Wacker Neuson belt provides the correct tension for most installations.
