The guard armature protects critical components of walk-behind and ride-on power trowels during concrete finishing operations. This OEM guard prevents damage to the trowel arm assembly from rough handling, contact with exposed plumbing, rebar, or forms during operation—hazards that can bend trowel arms and prevent smooth, fluid blade rotation.

Trowel arms must maintain precise flatness specifications for consistent concrete finishing. According to Multiquip service documentation, trowel arm flatness should be checked using a feeler gauge of .004" (0.10 mm) against a true flat surface. Any deviation beyond this tolerance will cause the machine to wobble or bounce, resulting in inconsistent finishing.
