This 15 Amp, 2-Pole main circuit breaker protects the generator's electrical system from overload conditions and shorts on the GAC3.6HR portable generator. Installed as the primary overcurrent protection device on the control panel, this breaker safeguards the brushless revolving field generator which delivers 3.6 kW max power output at 120/240V single phase. The circuit breaker is positioned on the control panel alongside the AC voltmeter and operation switches, serving as the main disconnect and protection for all downstream receptacles including the two 120 VAC GFCI outlets, 120V twist-lock (L5-30R), and 120/240V twist-lock (L14-20R) receptacles.

The GAC3.6HR generator features a control box mounted on rubber isolators to reduce engine vibration. This main breaker works in conjunction with three 20 Amp single-pole circuit breakers (CB1/CB2/CB4) and one 30 Amp single-pole breaker (CB3) to provide comprehensive circuit protection. When the breaker trips due to overcurrent conditions exceeding 15 amps on the 2-pole configuration, it prevents damage to the statically excited generator system and connected equipment.
