Multiquip 1221397 Magnetic Coil Brake Assembly - OEM Replacement Part for Rammax Rollers

This magnetic coil controls the locking brake function (Y9 valve) on Multiquip Rammax trench rollers, engaging and disengaging the parking brake system through electromagnetic actuation. When this coil fails, operators experience brake malfunction, inability to release the parking brake, or loss of braking control during operation.

The coil operates at 12V DC and should measure approximately 6 Ohms resistance during diagnostic testing. Proper installation requires adjusting the connector position by releasing the lock nut, rotating the magnet body to the required position, and retorquing the lock nut to 5±1 Nm. During troubleshooting, apply 12V directly to verify the valve switches visibly and audibly—if no actuation occurs, coil replacement is required.

This parking brake magnetic coil is critical for safe roller operation, particularly when working on slopes or during transport. The brake pressure relief valve (AF size 22/AF size 6) can be adjusted if necessary after coil replacement to ensure proper brake pressure and system performance.
