Multiquip 1244274 Pressure Relief Valve - OEM Replacement Part

This pressure relief valve protects the hydraulic system of trench rollers from dangerous overpressure conditions that could damage pumps, hoses, and cylinders. As a critical safety component in the hydraulic circuit, it automatically opens when system pressure exceeds safe operating limits, diverting excess fluid back to the reservoir to prevent catastrophic system failure.

The valve works in conjunction with magnetic coils and control pistons in the hydraulic control system. During normal operation, the spring-loaded control piston maintains proper pressure regulation. When troubleshooting hydraulic issues, technicians should verify the valve's magnetic coil resistance (standard 4.9 Ohm) and ensure sealing rings show no damage. The valve must switch both visibly and audibly when supplied with 12V during testing. Failed pressure relief valves can cause erratic hydraulic performance, inability to maintain proper compaction force, or complete system pressure loss.
