This speed assembly is a complete 4-blade left-hand configuration designed for blade-to-blade overlap (BTO) operation on compatible Multiquip ride-on trowels. It delivers the rotating blade assembly that finishes concrete surfaces during power troweling operations. This assembly is critical for maintaining proper blade pitch and consistent finishing performance—when spider components become worn or damaged, technicians will observe bouncing, uneven swirls, or rolling of concrete during operation.

Regular inspection of the spider assembly is essential for optimal trowel performance. If trowel arms exhibit more than 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) of vertical travel at the tip, or if the machine wobbles during finishing operations, the spider and arm assembly should be replaced. Proper blade orientation and secure mounting are crucial—all blades should be replaced simultaneously to prevent machine imbalance. When installing, ensure grease holes on bushings are properly aligned and spring tensioners are correctly positioned to maintain proper arm tension.
