This oversized piston ring set provides a 0.25mm oversize replacement for worn engine cylinders on Honda GX160 engines, restoring compression and power output in plate compactor applications. When engines show symptoms like reduced compaction force, difficulty starting, excessive oil consumption, or blue smoke from the exhaust, oversized piston rings allow cylinder reconditioning without complete engine replacement.

Designed for the Honda GX160K1QMX2/GX160U1QMX2 gasoline engine used in Multiquip plate compactors, this ring set works with rebored cylinders to restore the engine's 5 HP output at 3,600 RPM. The GX160 is a 163cc air-cooled, 4-stroke OHV engine that drives the eccentric weight system producing 3,350 lbs of centrifugal force at 5,600 VPM. Proper ring sealing is critical for maintaining the engine speed around 2,300 RPM needed to engage the centrifugal clutch and deliver maximum compaction performance of 8,036 sq.ft/hr.
