This 10-foot strike-off blade maintains the concrete finishing surface on Multiquip vibratory truss screeds, requiring regular inspection and replacement to ensure proper slab consolidation and surface quality. The 2-inch wide blade works in conjunction with vibrators placed on 30-inch centers to strike off slabs up to 11 inches thick, achieving the smooth, creamy surface finish required for highway and commercial applications.

According to Multiquip maintenance specifications, screed blades should be inspected daily as part of pre-operation checks and evaluated for replacement every 40-50 hours of operation. Blade condition directly affects concrete flow management—operators should maintain a slight discharge of concrete in front of the screed without allowing material to flow over blades by more than 2-1/2 inches. Worn or damaged blades compromise surface quality and can cause uneven consolidation across the screed width.

The blade attaches to the bottom truss assembly alongside bull float support components.
