Multiquip 1643015 Tapered Roller Bearing - OEM Replacement Part

This tapered roller bearing is a critical component in the swinging joint assembly of trench rollers, designed to handle both radial and axial loads during articulation and operation. Located within the bearing pin support, this bearing enables smooth pivoting movement between the front and rear chassis sections while withstanding the extreme forces generated during compaction work.

Replacement requires specialized procedures as outlined in Multiquip service documentation. The bearing is pressed into the binding ring and must be removed using proper tooling and support methods. During installation, the bearing housing requires 100g of Castrol Longtime PD2 extreme pressure grease (or compatible long-term lubrication grease) for optimal performance. Threaded fasteners should be installed with blue threadlocker adhesive as specified. Due to confined space limitations, removal may require M12x100 screws with 20mm spacers and proper chassis support using squared wood blocks to maintain alignment during service.
