Multiquip 21440 Handle Assembly CA4 Manual Clutch - OEM Replacement Part

The handle assembly with manual clutch system provides operator control and safety functionality for walk-behind power trowels. This complete assembly includes the Quick Pitch™ folding upper handle, clutch lever mechanism, and integrated manual clutch cable that stops the engine and brings the trowel to a halt in runaway conditions when the operator releases the handle. The manual clutch engages the V-belt pulley drive system that transfers power from the engine to the gearbox input shaft.

The Quick Pitch™ design allows the handle to fold for storage and transport, with a swing bolt and T-handle knob securing system for operational positioning. The clutch lever adjustment nut located on the clutch lever provides fine-tuning of clutch engagement by rotating the cable housing adjustment nut. During operation at 1/4 to 1/3 throttle, operators grip the handle firmly and engage the clutch by squeezing the lever toward the handle, providing precise control of the 24-inch diameter rotor operating at 70-130 rpm.
