The runner belt assembly transfers power from the engine to the gearbox input shaft in Multiquip HDA-Series walk-behind trowels, enabling the continuously variable transmission (CVT) to deliver maximum drive torque to the rotor blades. This V-belt pulley drive system is engaged by a centrifugal clutch and is critical for maintaining proper rotor speed control between 35–225 rpm across the 48-inch ring diameter.
