This 2032mm (80-inch) throttle cable controls engine speed on PRO Series walk-behind trowels, allowing operators to precisely manage RPM during concrete finishing operations. The throttle lever mechanism returns the engine to idle when released, and proper cable tension adjustment is critical for safe, responsive operation.

The throttle cable connects directly to the engine's throttle control system, with tension adjusted via a locking nut and cable retaining screw at the throttle lever assembly. During setup, the cable must be properly secured through the clutch cover with the retaining screw tightened to specification. If the throttle lever fails to return to neutral position when released, the adjusting nut should be loosened in 1/2 turn increments and retested to restore proper spring-back function. This safety feature prevents runaway engine conditions during operation.

Throttle cable failure symptoms include sticky or unresponsive throttle control, inability to return to idle, or broken cable strands.
