Multiquip 30198 Fresno Winch Cable - OEM Replacement Part for Walk-Behind Trowels

The Fresno winch cable enables raising and lowering of the mechanical boom assembly on walk-behind power trowels, allowing operators to position the fresno blade and brush without stepping onto the concrete surface. This cable runs from the boom winch crank handle, through upper and lower pulley wheels, and connects to the boom arm via a clevis attachment with 5/16-18 hardware.

During installation, the threaded end must be adjusted so the 5/16" inner nut sits exactly 7/8 inch from the cable end before securing in the boom cable anchor. The cable should be routed along the main tube with zip ties and positioned clear of all moving parts on the trowel. Proper routing around the engine and through the pulley system ensures smooth, binding-free operation when the operator rotates the boom winch crank handle counterclockwise to raise or clockwise to lower the boom.

This cable is a critical component of the mechanical boom system that supports the fresno screed blade (5 in. wide, 48 in. long) and optional plated weights. Regular inspection for fraying, kinking, or wear is essential for safe trowel operation.
