The ballast assembly harness distributes 240V power from the generator to each of the four metal-halide lamp ballasts on the LT6K5 light tower, enabling independent operation of the 1000-watt bulbs that deliver 110,000 lumens per fixture. This 7-wire coil cord assembly integrates directly with the T-bar mounted ballast system (reference drawing 34778) and includes color-coded wiring—red 12AWG, yellow 12AWG, blue 12AWG, black 12AWG, brown 14AWG, white 14AWG, and green 16AWG ground—that connect to capacitors rated at 30µF@440V for each ballast circuit. The harness facilitates proper neutral output distribution and grounding to the T-bar assembly ground point, critical for safe operation of the lighting system.

During maintenance procedures or when troubleshooting lighting failures, this harness should be inspected for damage, particularly at connection points and where cables may contact the mast during raising and lowering operations.
