The foot assembly is the critical impact component on tamping rammers that directly contacts and compacts soil surfaces. This genuine OEM replacement features laminated wood construction with a tempered steel plate designed for superior shock absorption during high-impact compaction operations. The MT-85H rammer delivers 665 impacts per minute at optimum 4,000 rpm, creating tremendous compacting force through this foot assembly to level and uniformly compact voids between soil particles.

The foot assembly houses the oil level sight glass at its rear, which allows operators to monitor the oil bath lubrication system. The system requires approximately 1.7 pints (800 cc) of 10W-30 motor oil, with levels maintained at the halfway point of the sight glass. Regular inspection through this sight glass is essential before each operation to ensure proper gearbox and spring cylinder lubrication.
