The plate foot is the critical ground contact component on Multiquip tamping rammers, featuring laminated wood construction with a tempered steel plate that delivers superior shock absorption during soil compaction operations. Thisfoot assembly levels and uniformly compacts voids between soil particles to increase dry density, applying tremendous consecutive impact force to the soil surface for road work, embankments, and backfilling applications including gas pipelines, water pipelines, and cable installation work.

The tempered steel plate protects the laminated wood core while the composite design absorbs impact forces generated by the rammer's circular motion conversion system.
