Multiquip 38414 Belt Guard Assembly - OEM Replacement Part for Concrete Saws

The belt guard assembly protects operators from contact with the V-belt drive system during concrete saw operation while providing access for routine belt alignment and tension inspection. This critical safety component covers the premium V-belt that drives the blade shaft on the SP1G concrete saw, preventing debris intrusion and accidental contact with moving parts.

According to Multiquip technical specifications, the V-belt cover must be removed to check uniform parallelism of the V-belt and pulley sheaves using a straight edge, then securely reinstalled before operation. The saw should NEVER be operated with this cover removed, as outlined in ANSI B7.1 and B7.5 safety guidelines. The guard assembly is secured with bolts to the saw frame and allows access to the belt tension adjuster and V-belt system that has been factory-aligned for optimal blade shaft performance at 6000 RPM operating speeds.

This assembly is designed to work with the precision-machined, reinforced cast frame that eliminates operational bending and ensures accurate blade tracking during cutting operations.
