The depth indicator assembly provides precise visual measurement and reference for setting cutting depth on the SP1G concrete saw, working in conjunction with the ruler guide to ensure accurate blade depth adjustments from 0 to 3¼ inches. This complete assembly includes the depth pointer that references against the ruler guide during depth adjustment operations.

According to Multiquip technical specifications, the depth control system allows operators to dial in exact cutting depths by turning the depth adjust knob counterclockwise—with every 360° turn equaling approximately ¼ inch of cut depth. The depth pointer provides real-time visual confirmation against the ruler guide, allowing operators to double-check measurements and achieve precise depth dimensions. This may require several attempts to dial in an exact depth dimension, making a functioning depth indicator critical for accurate concrete sawing operations including joint sawing of green concrete, decorative sawing in cured concrete, light demolition work, and V-groove beveling.
