This cover is a critical component accessed during scheduled vibration unit maintenance when the grease in the housing is consumed after a certain number of operating hours and must be refilled. Technicians remove the screws on the bearing cap to access the vibration housing for cleaning, grease inspection, and replenishment—the grease condition can be assessed by its color and consistency, with consumed grease appearing darker than fresh lubricant.
