The eccentric weight is the core component that generates the high-frequency vibrations essential for soil and asphalt compaction. This genuine Multiquip eccentric weight is engineered to produce 3,350 lbs of centrifugal force at 5,600 vibrations per minute (93 Hz), delivering the powerful compaction performance required for granular soils and asphalt applications. When the eccentric weight wears or fails, operators will notice weak or lost vibration during operation, reduced compaction efficiency, and decreased forward travel speed.

The engine-driven eccentric weight spins at high speed to create the low amplitude, high frequency vibrations that enable forward motion at approximately 82 feet per minute. This design allows the compactor to achieve maximum compaction coverage of 8,036 square feet per hour. The double-V belt drive system transfers power from the Honda GX160 engine to rotate the eccentric weight assembly within the heavy-duty steel base plate.
