The vibrating plate is the primary compaction component that generates low amplitude, high frequency vibrations to compact granular soils and asphalt in walk-behind plate compactors. This heavy-duty steel base plate features a closed design with ribbed construction for extra strength and durability during high-impact compaction operations. The plate works with an eccentric weight driven at high speed to develop compaction force, producing vibrations at approximately 5,600 vpm (93 Hz) with a centrifugal force of 3,350 lbs. The resulting vibrations enable forward and reverse travel speeds of approximately 82 ft/minute while covering a maximum compaction area of 8,036 sq.ft/hr.

This flat plate component is constructed from durable cast iron and measures 22 x 19.6 inches (560 x 500 mm). The vibrating plate connects to the vibration case which encloses the eccentric, gears, and counterweights. It works in conjunction with the water tube sprinkler system to prevent damage and extend service life during compaction of sand, mixed soils, and asphalt applications including road work, embankments, and backfilling operations.
