This lock pin secures the handle assembly in the operating or stowed position on Multiquip MVC88VTH and MVC88VTHW plate compactors, ensuring safe transport and stable operation. The lock pin works in conjunction with the lock holder and lock wire system to tilt the compactor back onto its wheel kit for maneuvering between job sites. When tilting the compactor, the lock wire is removed from the handle body and attached to the lock holder hole, while the lock pin maintains structural integrity of the handle system throughout the tilting process.
