The charge air cooler (intercooler) is a critical component of the turbocharged HATZ 4H50TIC diesel engine's combustion system, cooling compressed intake air from the turbocharger before it enters the engine cylinders. This cooling process increases air density, improving combustion efficiency, engine performance, and fuel economy while reducing exhaust emissions in demanding concrete finishing applications.

The HATZ 4H50TIC is a liquid-cooled, four-stroke diesel engine with direct injection, turbocharger with charge air-cooling, and cooled exhaust-gas recirculation.
