This wiring harness connects the ballast system to the light tower's electrical components, delivering 460 VAC power to the metal halide lamp ballasts on the LT6KV light tower. When troubleshooting lamps that fail to ignite after the generator starts and lamp circuit breakers CB2 and CB3 are engaged, a faulty ballast harness can prevent proper voltage delivery to individual lamp assemblies.

The LT6KV light tower uses four metal halide lamps controlled by two 20-amp circuit breakers, with each breaker powering a top/bottom lamp pair. During ballast replacement procedures, this harness must be disconnected after placing the main circuit breaker (CB1) and lamp circuit breakers in the OFF position to ensure no voltage is present.
