This roller assembly ensures smooth, controlled vertical travel of the telescoping mast section during raise and lower operations on the LT6KV light tower. The mid-mast roller guides the extension section along the vertical mast base, preventing binding and lateral movement as the mast extends beyond 25 feet. Critical for maintaining proper alignment with the magnetic proximity switches that signal the hoist motor to stop at full extension and retraction.

The LT6KV mast system uses an electric hoist with wire rope drum assembly rated for 1,000 operational cycles (3,000 up/down movements) or three years when cycled three times daily.
