Multiquip 44233 Limit Switch Raise/Lower - OEM Replacement Part for Light Towers

This limit switch controls the raise and lower function of the mast extension system on Multiquip light towers. Located on the winch control panel, this switch energizes a relay that reverses polarity at the motor, enabling precise control of the mast's vertical movement. The magnetic proximity switches work in conjunction with magnetic raise-lower switches on the outer vertical mast to signal the system when the mast has reached full extension or complete retraction, automatically stopping mast movement to prevent over-travel damage.

The switch is a critical safety component in the hoist assembly, which is designed for an operational life span of 1,000 cycles (3,000 cycles up and down) or three years when cycled three times per day. During operation, the switch must hold until the extension section is fully retracted with slack in the cable. Proper function of this limit switch ensures safe mast operation and prevents cable tangling during the lowering process.
