The driven gear is a critical component in the rotary shaft assembly of Multiquip reversible plate compactors, transmitting power from the engine through the eccentric rotators to generate the high-frequency vibrations necessary for soil compaction. This gear works in conjunction with the eccentric rotators and rotary shaft to produce 5,400 vibrations per minute (90 Hz) at the compacting plate, delivering the centrifugal force required for efficient compaction of sand, gravel, and cohesive soils.

Located in the vibration case assembly, this driven gear (part number 4583-42590) interfaces directly with the rotary shaft and piston rod assembly. The vibration case requires SAE 10W-30 lubricant with a 350cc capacity to ensure proper gear operation and longevity.
