This negative battery cable provides the essential ground connection between the battery and frame on Multiquip reversible plate compactors. The MVH208DZ is shipped from the factory without battery installed, making proper battery cable installation crucial during initial setup or replacement service.

During battery removal procedures, the negative terminal must be disconnected first to prevent short circuits, and during installation, the red positive terminal is connected first with the negative cable last. When storing the machine for extended periods, either disconnect the battery terminals or remove the battery completely to prevent discharge.
