The vibrating plate is the primary compaction component of reversible plate compactors, delivering high-frequency vibrations to efficiently compact sand, gravel, and cohesive soils. Made of durable cast iron construction, this flat open plate produces 5,200 vibrations per minute (VPM) to generate tremendous compaction force in consecutive high-frequency cycles. The resulting low amplitude, high frequency vibrations are specifically engineered to compact granular soils and asphalt while causing forward motion at approximately 85-89 feet per minute travel speed.
