The breather assembly allows pressure generated by heat to escape safely from the vibration case in the form of gas, preventing dangerous pressure buildup during operation. This critical component maintains proper atmospheric pressure equilibrium within the sealed vibration case, which houses SAE 10W-30 lubricant at a 350cc capacity. Without a functioning breather plug, internal pressure can compromise seals, cause oil leaks, and lead to premature component failure in the vibration system.
