The spider's adjustment bolt system allows technicians to fine-tune blade alignment by positioning bolts to barely make contact with the lower wear plate, ensuring all blades maintain uniform height across the float pan for consistent concrete finishing.

Proper spider alignment is essential for quality results. To verify correct adjustment, place the machine on a flat steel plate and pitch blades as flat as possible. All adjustment bolts should barely contact the lower wear plate on the spider. If any bolt fails to make contact, adjust the high bolts down to match the low bolt level, or raise the low bolt accordingly. Misaligned spiders cause uneven finishing, increased blade wear, and potential damage to the lower wear plate assembly.
