Multiquip 48440 Main Harness MD 8 Series - OEM Replacement Part

The main harness is the central electrical wiring assembly that connects all critical systems on the MD80 ride-on trowel, including the machine controller, fuse and relay box, pitch actuators, foot pedal, horn/cruise control, and power distribution. This harness routes power from the battery through the bus bar and distributes control signals to hydraulic actuators, safety switches, and operator controls.

According to Multiquip wiring diagrams, the main harness interfaces with multiple connectors including DT06-12SA for battery power distribution, P5 connector (34822-0013) for the machine controller, and various AWG-rated wire splices for pitch control (Z6 and Z7 splices use 14 AWG red/orange and red/green wires respectively). The harness integrates with the frame harness through multiple junction points to control left and right pitch actuators, seat safety switches, key switch ignition, and diagnostic displays. Damaged or corroded main harnesses can cause intermittent electrical failures, non-responsive controls, pitch system malfunctions, or complete trowel shutdown.
