Multiquip 515349890 Magnetic Clutch - OEM Replacement Part

The electromagnetic clutch controls the vibration system on Multiquip vibratory rollers, engaging and disengaging drum vibration independently from the travel function. This critical component operates at 12V DC with a rated torque of 25 Nm (2.5 kgf-m) and coil resistance of 6.6 ohms at 68°F (20°C).

During operation, normal wear on the contact area creates a gap between clutch surfaces. When this gap exceeds the limited specification of 0.028 inches (0.7 mm), improper actuation or absorption occurs and the clutch must be replaced. The system includes built-in protection with a 5A fuse in the wire harness that automatically cuts power during over-amperage conditions. Loss of vibration with the engine running at 2,500 rpm typically indicates either clutch failure or a blown fuse—the travel function will continue normally in either case.

The clutch box requires grease lubrication every 50 hours of operation as part of the standard maintenance schedule.
