Multiquip 70-8004 Ignition Key Switch - OEM Replacement Part

The ignition key switch is the primary power control component for starting and operating the electric motor on Multiquip walk-behind power buggies. This switch controls power delivery to the 24VDC, 750W electric motor system and must be turned to the start position before the emergency stop button can be pulled outward to activate the motor. Located on the control panel alongside the diagnostic gauge, this switch interfaces directly with the motor controller and electrical system to enable buggy operation.

During normal operation, the ignition switch works in conjunction with the emergency stop button, deadman lever microswitch (J1-3), and motor controller to ensure safe startup and operation. The switch is a critical safety component in the electrical circuit, as shown in the wiring diagram where it controls power flow to the contactor coil and motor controller.
