The mixing drum is the primary containment and mixing chamber for hydraulic plaster and mortar mixers, featuring a 12.0 cubic foot (340 liter) capacity with a batch capacity of 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 bags. This drum is engineered to handle maximum aggregate sizes up to 1 inch (25.4 mm) and features an adjustable discharge height up to 42.5 inches (1,079.5 mm) for versatile job site applications.

The drum is mounted on pillow block bearings at each end that require daily greasing with lithium-based EP grease to ensure smooth rotation and extend service life. Zerk grease fittings at each pivot point lubricate the hydraulic dumping mechanism and should be serviced at least twice weekly. The drum assembly integrates with the hydraulic drive system for paddle rotation and hydraulic dump action, making it a critical component for continuous mixer operation.
