Multiquip 9047 Countershaft Flange Input Side Open - OEM Replacement Part

The countershaft flange for the input side secures and aligns the gearbox countershaft assembly, which is critical for transferring power from the engine through the V-belt pulley system to the rotor blades. Located within the gearbox beneath the engine, this open-style flange maintains proper shaft alignment and bearing support on the input side where power enters from the continuously variable transmission (CVT). Worn or damaged flanges can cause shaft misalignment, excessive vibration, premature bearing failure, and loss of power transfer efficiency.

The HDA Series gearbox utilizes a helical worm gear drive with two shafts (input and output) that govern rotor speed from 35–225 rpm. The input shaft receives power through the centrifugal clutch-engaged V-belt system before transmitting it to the vertical output shaft and spider assembly. Regular inspection during gearbox maintenance intervals helps identify flange wear before it leads to catastrophic failure.
