Multiquip 956225020 Throttle Lever Assembly - OEM Replacement Part for Rammers

The throttle lever assembly controls engine speed and the tamping action of your Multiquip rammer. This critical control component must be moved quickly from IDLE to FULL OPEN position to start tamping action and prevent damage to the clutch or spring mechanism. Operating the rammer at less than full throttle speeds can result in serious damage to clutch springs or the foot assembly.

On compatible models, this lever controls rammers designed to run at 5,500 rpm, delivering 675 impacts per minute at optimum performance. The throttle lever must reach the FULL OPEN position for proper operation. During shutdown, the lever should be moved quickly from FULL OPEN to IDLE, allowing the engine to cool for three minutes at low speed before stopping. This assembly works in conjunction with the engine stop switch to control starting and stopping operations.
