The first stage mast assembly forms the foundation of the telescopic lifting system on Multiquip GloBug LED balloon lighting carts. This component is the base section of the 3-stage anodized aluminum air-assisted mast that extends the 800W LED balloon fixture from the stowed height of 72.4 inches up to the fully deployed height of 124.8 inches. The mast design incorporates an air brake system to maintain precise height adjustment and secure positioning during operation, with manual operation via the mast knob for raising and lowering the second stage.

Engineered to support the 24.7 lb lamp fixture while maintaining wind stability up to 45 mph (20 m/s), this first stage mast is secured to the cart by the mast holder and mast clamp assembly. The telescopic system allows operators to achieve three different height positions for optimal lighting coverage across construction sites, emergency response situations, and outdoor events. The anodized aluminum construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in ambient temperatures ranging from 14 to 104°F (-10 to 40°C).
