The Engine Control Unit (ECU) is the digital brain that manages all critical engine and generator functions on Multiquip DCA-600SSK and DCA-800SSK super silent generators. This control module continuously monitors engine performance parameters, regulates fuel injection timing, controls alternator output, and manages the parallel operation capabilities required for synchronized multi-generator systems. When the ECU fails, symptoms include failure to start, erratic engine performance, loss of power output regulation, or inability to enter parallel mode.

This ECU is specifically engineered for the WhisperWatt™ series generators equipped with Volvo Penta TWD1672GE diesel engines. It integrates with the digital controller to manage the 480 kW prime output (600 kVA) at 1,800 rpm, maintaining precise frequency control at 60 Hz across all voltage configurations. The unit controls overload protection through the OCR/main circuit breaker system and manages auxiliary AC power distribution to the 120V / 4.8 kW outlets.
