Multiquip EM14818 Hollow Ball 4" C30HD - OEM Replacement Part

This 4-inch hollow ball is a critical valving component in Multiquip C30HD series concrete pumps, controlling the directional flow of concrete through the manifold during pumping operations. The hollow ball works in conjunction with the ball seat to create a one-way valve system that prevents material backflow into the hopper while forcing concrete through the discharge nozzle during the pumping stroke.

According to Multiquip maintenance procedures, the ball and seat assembly should be inspected regularly for wear by removing the 3"x2" reducer and 3" elbow from the pump outlet, along with the discharge gate and Y-manifold. Worn or dented balls and worn seats are a primary cause of diminished pump output and the "volcano effect" in the hopper. The ball retainer pin should also be inspected during this service. After cleaning blockages or performing maintenance, always flush the manifolds thoroughly with water and ensure the reducer is free of obstructions before closing the discharge cone.
