Multiquip Y0601820608 Voltage Regulator - OEM Replacement Part for Super Silent Generators

The voltage regulator controls and stabilizes output voltage in Multiquip Super Silent generators equipped with open-delta excitation systems. This critical component manages voltage regulation during both steady-state loads and heavy-load conditions such as motor starting or short circuits. During normal operation, it receives power from parallel connections (A to B, A to D, and C to D) of the open-delta winding, which is then rectified to provide excitation current for the exciter section.

When heavy loads occur, the automatic voltage regulator (AVR) switches the open-delta configuration to series connection (B to C), adding the voltages of each phase to provide higher excitation and maintain stable output. The regulator works in conjunction with the voltage selector switch to provide multiple output configurations including 3Ø 480/277V, 3Ø 240/139V, 3Ø 208V/1Ø 120V, and 1Ø 240V/120V. Technicians can fine-tune output by turning the voltage regulator control knob clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease voltage.
