The pump casing is the critical outer housing component that encloses and protects the impeller assembly while directing water flow through the discharge system. This industrial-grade steel/cast iron casing is engineered specifically for the ST3050D 3" submersible pump, where it serves dual functions: providing structural protection for internal components and acting as a heat conductor to dissipate motor heat during continuous operation. The casing's streamlined design maintains the pump's narrow 10.2" overall diameter, allowing deployment in confined spaces including 10.2" pipes, well casings, and excavation sites.

In the ST3050D system, this casing houses the vortex-type ductile iron impeller and works in conjunction with the replaceable 3" NPT male discharge port to handle pumping capacities up to 264-270 gallons per minute at heads up to 86 feet. The cast iron/steel construction provides maximum durability in demanding dewatering applications including construction site drainage, flooded basements, swimming pools, and excavation work.
