This heavy-duty 5 HP electric motor powers the ST3050D 3-inch submersible pump, delivering reliable performance for demanding dewatering applications including construction sites, excavations, flooded basements, and well casings. The industrial-grade motor features Class F insulation with a double dip/bake insulation process, dual sealed lubricated bearings, and an internal cast iron/steel casing that serves as an effective heat conductor to maintain optimal operating temperatures.

The motor is engineered to pump liquids up to 104°F and operates at 3,550 ±30 RPM with counterclockwise rotation. It includes a simple voltage adjustment system that allows field conversion between 230V and 460V three-phase power configurations. Factory set at 230 VAC, the motor draws 77 starting amps at 230V (39 at 460V) and 14.2 running amps at 230V (7.1 at 460V). Built-in thermal overload protection prevents damage from overheating conditions. The motor assembly works in conjunction with double oil-filled mechanical seals (180cc capacity) to ensure reliable operation in submersible environments.
