Multiquip 10124 Hex Lock Nut 1/4-20 - OEM Replacement Trowel Part

This 1/4-20 hex lock nut secures the trowel arm adjustment bolt in place during critical trowel arm calibration procedures. During trowel arm adjustment, this locking nut holds the adjustment bolt at the precise .010" clearance required between the adjustment bolt and fixture adjustment bolt, ensuring proper blade pitch and trowel performance.

The adjustment procedure requires loosening this locking nut on the trowel arm lever, turning the adjustment bolt until it barely touches (.010") the fixture adjustment bolt, then retightening this hex lock nut to lock the adjustment in place. This critical fastener prevents the adjustment bolt from shifting during operation, which could cause uneven concrete finishing, excessive blade wear, or trowel arm misalignment.

This maintenance component should be inspected during routine trowel arm adjustments and replaced if threads are stripped, if the locking feature is worn, or if the nut cannot maintain proper torque on the adjustment bolt.
