This machined gearbox assembly delivers power from the engine to the rotor system on Multiquip ride-on power trowels, featuring heavy-duty construction designed for years of trouble-free service in concrete finishing applications. The precision-machined housing incorporates upper and lower wear plates made of trowel steel to prevent bearing wear and maintain tight running tolerances during operation.

The gearbox contains sealed thrust bearings and bronze bushings that eliminate wear on the thrust collar and spider assembly, ensuring consistent power transfer to the trowel blades. The main output shaft must run straight and cannot exceed 0.003 inch (0.08 mm) out of round at the spider attachment point to prevent perceptible rolling motion during operation.
