The blade shaft mounting block provides critical structural support for securing the cutting blade assembly to the saw's drive system. When servicing this component, technicians should note that the 5/8" blade-mounting bolt on the right side of the saw (viewed from operator's position) has a left-hand thread, while the bolt on the left side has a right-hand thread. Most saw hardware is measured in English (inch) units, so ensure proper tools and fasteners are used during installation.
