Multiquip 18314 Brake Linkage Left W/A - OEM Replacement Part for Power Buggies

The left-side brake linkage assembly ensures proper parking brake function on Multiquip WBH-series power buggies, transmitting lever force to the brake mechanism to secure the machine during loading, unloading, and stationary operation. This linkage rod is critical for maintaining the brake tension necessary to prevent buggy movement when the parking brake lever is engaged.

Brake adjustment is performed on the linkage rod located on the right-side of the buggy using the knob at the end of the parking brake lever. Proper adjustment requires turning the knob clockwise until sufficient tension is achieved—when the parking brake lever is pulled upward to the engaged position, the buggy should not move when the engine is started and the travel lever is placed in the forward position. Testing brake holding capacity involves slowly squeezing the speed control lever with the parking brake engaged; if the buggy moves forward, linkage adjustment or replacement is required as outlined in the maintenance section.
