The outer case is a critical structural component that protects the internal motor and mechanical assemblies of Multiquip ST-series submersible pumps from water intrusion and physical damage during operation. This rigid stainless steel outer casing works in conjunction with the cast iron inner casing to provide maximum strength while creating a dynamic cooling effect on the motor during high-head pumping applications up to 138 feet.

Engineered for industrial submersible pumps handling up to 423 gallons per minute, this outer case maintains the pump's narrow 12.48-inch overall diameter, allowing operation in 14-inch diameter pipes, well casings, excavations, and manholes. The durable construction withstands maximum operating temperatures of 140°F (60°C) and protects the 10 HP motor during continuous operation in standing water, site drainage, quarries, and irrigation applications. The outer case also houses the oil-filled double mechanical seal assembly and maintains proper alignment of internal components during pumping of water with solids up to 0.6 inches.
