The casing volute is the critical housing component that converts the centrifugal force of the impeller into water pressure and directs flow through the discharge ports of your Multiquip trash pump. This cast component forms the pump's main pressure chamber and must maintain structural integrity to achieve the rated 211 gallons per minute discharge capacity and maximum head of 98 feet.

As a primary pump body component, the volute casing houses the impeller assembly and creates the expanding spiral chamber that efficiently converts rotational energy into fluid pressure. The casing also includes mounting provisions for the clean-out cover and locking knobs, allowing access to the pump cavity for debris removal. The volute must be filled with water before operation to enable proper self-priming function up to the maximum 25-foot suction lift at sea level.
